Bondine Kloostra

Bondine Kloostra has practised as an attorney since 2001. She studied law from 1996 until 2000, specializing in private and public law, at the University of Groningen. During her studies she worked as a research assistant for Prof. D.J. Elzinga at the Department of Constitutional law and International law of the University of Groningen. After her graduation she was a lecturer at the Department of Administrative Law and Public Administration teaching administrative law and administrative procedural law.

Since 2005 Bondine Kloostra works at Van den Biesen Boesveld Advocaten. In addition to the legal assistance she provides to local authorities and individuals Bondine Kloostra assists Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) involved in nature conservation and environmental protection in a wide variety of cases in the field of administrative law, nature conservation law, spatial planning, government liability law and environmental law. Among many other issues she is advising and litigating in the fields of emission trading, pesticides, genetic modification and nuclear energy.

For CSOs working for nature conservation and environmental protection she submits cases to the General Court of the European Union while also pleading before the Court of Justice of the European Union in Luxembourg.

On a regular basis Bondine Kloostra lectures on environmental law and nature protection law.
